![]() Read above for already attempted solutions. Tldr Plex Media Server reporting that it's stopped on NVIDIA Shield TV, without the ability to turn it back ON again. Please, if anybody can help me fix this or tell me another solution that might work – I'm beginning to regret ever buying into a Plex server solution that was this unreliable. I've checked the permissions for both apps to make sure they can access the files, I've reset the ethernet connection and both updated and force stopped/restarted the Plex Media Server and Plex app – nothing has made a difference. ![]() I've tried everything I can think of restarting the Shield, resetting the cache for the Plex app on the Shield AND for the Plex Media Server app on the system level of the Shield. The loading window goes away and the server still reports that it's STOPPED. It processes this request, spins up a loading animation. Clicking on it gives me the option between ON or OFF – obviously I want the server to be ON, so that's what I select. If I go to the settings of my Plex Server on the Shield it shows me the settings pane for the Server itself, and tells me that it's stopped. It started by me not being able to access my library on any of my client apps because Plex couldn't establish a secure connection with the server, and now it's progressed to the point where my server won't even turn on inside of the Shield. I think it's because of the newest Shield update, but I don't know that for a fact. I use my NVIDIA Shield TV as the server for my Plex library and have done for a few years now, but in the last 12 months or so it's become so shockingly unreliable and I've had to completely nuke my servers and start from scratch about four times. ![]() Please go to the relevant subreddits and support forums, for example: Build help and build shares posts go in their respective megathreads No referral / affiliate links, personal voting / campaigning / funding, or selling posts Welcome to /r/Plex, a subreddit dedicated to Plex, the media server/client solution for enjoying your media!
